We want to give a grateful thanks to each of A.C.T.S. Volunteer Evangelists and Partners across Australia for their commitment to working with us for a Christlike Australia.

The Bible explains our interdependence in Christ:

“…for we are fellow workers, you are God’s field, God’s building (I Cor 3:9)

“Christ is our Foundation” (Isaiah 28:14-22; 1 Peter 2:4-12)

“By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as a wise master builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one must be careful how he builds. For no one can lay a foundation other than the one already laid which is Jesus Christ” (I Corinthians 10-12)

Merv & Joie Westbrook’s Darwin Outreach Centre’s 24 hour, 7 days a week hostel ministry to Aboriginal Australia’s sick from Northern Territory, helping with housing, feeding, transporting to hospitals, dialysis units, and back home by car, bus, train and plane. Carol & Fred were flown into the Outback by Merv in August 1991 and have recently been able to stay at the hostel, share Jesus, hand out Bibles, “Life of Jesus comic and coloring books and Christian DVD’s.
Carl & Gail Musch’s, (IMLA) was invited to teach 45 traditional owners and elders from Arnhem Land, N.T. who recognized that they need Jesus and His word in their communities. The Yolgnu Church baptized 60 new believers in 2016.

Ron and Paula Turner’s Outback Connections ministry to western and midland

Queensland focused on visiting, ministering, mentoring, and evangelizing which saw over 50 people commit to Christ and 12 baptised in 2016.

Nev and Isabel Rogers Outback Media Network ministry to Western Queensland, attending the Aboriginal Convention in Halles Creek, distributing resources, Bibles, posters and Sunday School materials to the Aboriginal communities. They also installed 3 new Christian Satellite T.V.’s and produced and distributed Christian DVD’s.

Prayer Points news of 2 A.C.T.S. Australian Prayer Partners:

Robert Brennan has a new position at the Wontulp-Bibuya Aboriginal College in Cairns, QLD as Theology Co-ordinator and teaching two courses. The College graduated 17 students of Certificate III, Certificate IV, and Diploma of Theology in November. Robert just published “Describing the Hand of God”.

Arthur Conner’s ministry to his local Aboriginal church in Canberra, ACT gives him more opportunities to teach and preach the Bible. He also continues to tutor disadvantaged children.

Please pray for these 6 ministries continued growth and holy spirit power during 2017. In next week’s Praise & Prayer letter, A.C.T.S. will report the praise and prayer needs received through our recent ministry in the camps around Alice Springs and Darwin, N.T.

  • Bibles and “Jesus for Children” DVD’s @$5.00 each.
  • $39 for a Christian DVD and Bible pack (one time or monthly)
  • $100 for gas/petrol necessary to go to the next outreach opportunities
  • $375 for a one way airline ticket to the next outreach opportunities
  • $1,100 to refurbish a 4 wheel drive vehicle after an outreach tour on brutal Outback roads.
